St. Patrick’s Day is coming and if you are looking for a way to throw a sober green themed party, we have some tips for you! Let’s face it, most holidays involve parties where alcohol is served. If you are choosing sobriety, planning your own holiday parties gives you a chance to decide what is served.

There are plenty of non-alcoholic drink options and here are some of our favorites!

  • Fruit juices are a healthy option. Offer some of the favorites like orange or cranberry juice. Mixing the juices can also create a fresh blend for your guest. Add sliced fruit into the mix for an elegant touch! Since it is St. Patty’s Day, another idea is to go for a healthy green juice. Mix in celery, pineapple, and apples for the ultimate green blend filled with nutrition.
  • Sparkling water is always a go-to for those living sober lives. Offer plain and flavored sparkling options like berry, watermelon, or lemon. Add some green food coloring into the mix to cheers to and celebrate the luck of the Irish!
  • Tea please! Whether it is hot or iced tea, tea is a must for guests on St. Patrick’s day. It’s refreshing and you can garnish it up with all the greenery like mint leaves! Add some lemon for the perfect finishing touch to this sober beverage.
  • Kombucha is brewed but far from a brewery’s tastings. It is fermented tea and is a great non-alcoholic alternative with probiotic benefits that are wonderful for your body and are great for your party guests.
  • A pot of gold is always found in milk and non-dairy, creamy alternatives that are often used for smoothies. Those living a healthy lifestyle will appreciate a selection of almond milk or coconut milk based smoothies. You can add fresh or frozen fruit, nuts, and get smoothies green by opting for green veggies and fruit. Just press blend!
  • Soda may not be the healthiest option but it beats wine and other alcohol. Offer a variety of the classics and your party will be in tip top shape.
  • Last, but not least, Mocktails. Get festive with some fun, green inspired mocktails to keep the party going. (see below)
