Scottsdale Recovery Center offers a First Responders Program to address presenting issues that specifically impact law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, search and rescue, and other First Responders. This program is specifically designed to address stressors and occupational conditions that lead to post traumatic stress disorders, alcohol and substance abuse.
We cater to the individual needs of our First Responders, placing their needs and their lives as a priority as they do ours. The time, anticipatory, situational and encounter stressors that they deal with daily is why we chose to create and offer this program
Our clinical team will provide therapeutic interventions such as EMDR and Brain Spotting to treat anxiety, depression, suicidal/homicidal ideations, hyper arousal and dissociation commonly seen in First Responders. In conjunction with our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, a specialized individual treatment plan will be created to support clinical and personal mental health objectives.
Our medical team will provide a thorough assessment of an individual’s physical condition to treat gastrointestinal problems, diabetes, sleep deprivation, fatigue, malnutrition, and cardiovascular conditions to support physical wellness. Measures of support to address these issues include medications, lifestyle changes, nutritional dietary preparation, yoga, meditation, gym and other physical activities.
In addition, you will receive trauma informed care one time per week or as clinically recommended utilizing EMDR or Brain Spotting. Through the 28-day period, you will receive 69 hours of intensive processing group, 46 hours of education group and 1 individual session per week.
