Sober Living

Scottsdale Recovery Center operates sober living communities throughout the Scottsdale area. Our sober living communities are independent and separate from our treatment programs. Our sober living communities are certified by the Arizona Recovery Housing Association (AzRHA) and licensed by Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Trullies of Scottsdale is our newest sober living community.

The Department of Health defines sober living as any premises, place or building that a) provides alcohol-free or drug-free housing and that promotes independent living and life skills development, b) may provide activities that are directed primarily toward recovery from substance use disorders, c) provides a supervised setting to a group of unrelated individuals who are recovering from substance use disorders and d) does not provide any custodial, medical or clinical services or medication administration on-site, except for verification of abstinence.

Residents of our sober living communities are required to private pay for these services. Please contact our admission line at 602-346-9142 to discuss options for sober living.

In 2018, legislation passed which required the ADHS to adopt rules to establish minimum standards and requirements for the licensure of sober living homes to ensure the health and safety of Arizonians and became final and effective on July 1, 2019.

Scottsdale Recovery’s sober living communities and all sober living homes in Arizona are required to comply with Arizona Revised Statutes Title 36, Chapter 18, Article 4 and Arizona Administrative Code Title 9, Chapter 12.
