When You Only Partner with the Best, First Responders Are a Must
We understand the challenges unique to the women and men who put their lives on the line, so the rest of us don’t have to. Scottsdale Recovery Center wants to salute and celebrate our first responders by giving what we can. Through donation, we help support the initiatives of The Foundation for First Responders & Firefighters and Foundation 1023.
Each organization provides support, services and a direct pathway for first responders to start the communication needed to admit they need help and to put resolve at the forefront of their minds. With more than 33 percent of all first responders reporting episodes of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder “PTSD” (that number is higher if including unreported incidents), treatment should be made readily available for those in need.
The Foundation for First Responders and Firefighters is a core project of the Firefighters Support Foundation, FSF. This non-profit was designed to enhance the grant programs already available to include all first responders. The need for FSF is to help prevent additional on-the-job injuries and deaths due to faulty or inadequate training and equipment.
Foundation 1023 provides first responders financial resources for confidential, mental health and wellness services to treat PTSD, substance use disorders and dual diagnoses.
Answers to PTSD Take Patience and Professionalism
Scottsdale Recovery Center welcomes the opportunity to help our nation’s emergency workers. Through highly-accredited medical and mental health practitioners and holistic therapists, first responders can experience a sense of tranquility in a private, compassionate setting enjoying Arizona sunsets and balmy desert breezes that calm the soul. The best way to give first responders relief is to reassure them that it’s okay to let go of the past.
